“Settlement”: Between Two Homes

In the quiet corners of Athens, Ohio, where my journey as an immigrant
unfolds, I grapple with the echoes of a life left behind in India. The
distance from my family, the loss of precious time, and the endeavor to
forge a new existence paint a complex narrative—a tale of two homes,
yet a profound sense of homelessness. As I navigate this delicate balance,
the Athens community transforms into an unexpected refuge.
My artistic exploration, "Settlement," delves into the emotional tapestry
of my experiences. Each brushstroke tells a story born from the depths
of my struggles, transforming pain into vibrant art. These works are
beacons of positivity, pushing to reshape the energy of the spaces they
inhabit.

Settlement encapsulates a healing journey. I extend an invitation to the
local community to connect with this journey, to explore the complexities
of settling into a new home, and to find resonance in the shared human
experience.
