Photographs and Poetry: inspired by the work of Molly Schoenhoff

Molly Schoenhoff (one of the Art in the Library artists for the month of April) will help inspire children and young adults to create their own "I Am" poem. This work will combine with a photographic self portrait which the attendees will alter with paint. As Molly states: "A minor change to a mundane image can suggest an alternate reality. In celebration of Poetry Month, we will invite patrons to submit ekphrastic poems in response to the images on display."This event encompasses two Fridays, April 20th and 27th. Attendees must come to both creating sessions to complete the project. The art created during this two day event will be displayed at the Nelsonville Public Library for the month of May.
