Enjoy featured pieces by two composers from neighboring centuries, whose forward- thinking, musical ingenuity and distinct compositional styles would be emulated and explored by chamber musicians for centuries to come.

Amy Beach - Quartet for Strings, Op. 89
Ludwig van Beethoven - String Quartet No. 1 in F Major, Op. 18

Based in Athens, Ohio, the Klinder String Quartet is composed of the top string performance graduate musicians at Ohio University. All four members hold degrees in music and currently serve alongside faculty providing instruction for undergraduate-level courses and chamber music groups. They also offer educational outreach to students at local schools and musical enrichment opportunities for members of the Athens community and surrounding SE Ohio region.

Keats Rivas, Cello - Birmingham, AL

Please note that, out of respect for preserving safe access between other zones of the library, if you arrive late for or at the start of the performance, you must please seek a seat already set in the designated audience zone.  Do not congregate at the portal to the performance space.
