Hot Topics for Cool Heads: What are Ways That Our Environment Most Needs Protected?

In 2017 Athens Area Mediation Service initiated a project to provide citizens the opportunity to talk to one another civilly about difficult
issues in our society. The project is titled  Hot Topics for Cool Heads. 
The hope is to cultivate a willingness  among people to engage
peaceably with those of a different mindset, rather than labeling and
dissing each other.  The project started out at The Plains Public
Library, then moved on to Donkey Coffee, Wells Public Library and Athens
Public Library and now returns to The Plains. AAMS hopes to bring this
conversation event to citizens throughout Athens area in an ongoing
way to nurture civility among us.
