Geodes

In this geode-breaking program, teens will explore geology through hands-on experience by cracking open real geodes to reveal crystal formations hidden inside. Participants will learn how geodes form, identify common crystals such as quartz and amethyst, and use proper tools and safety techniques. This engaging activity combines science, discovery, and a little surprise as each geode reveals a unique natural design shaped by millions of years of Earth’s processes.
