Purpose of Meeting
W.E. Peters was a surveyor, lawyer, and historian who devoted his spare time to documenting historical sites in the landscape that he felt to be endangered. Friends of The Plains Mounds board president Alex Armstrong will be giving an informational slideshow presentation displaying Peters’s photos of native earthworks around Athens County from the 1930s & 40s. This event will take place on 2/2/26 from 5-6pm at The Plains Public Library and is open to the public.
