Program Description

Event Details

Did you know that some species of spider can "parachute" using their own silk? Stop by CPL to pick up a take-home kit that includes all you need to make your very own parachuting spider! Each kit also includes step-by-step instructions, and suggestions for families about how to make this craft into the cornerstone of an at-home educational experience about spiders and the rainforest ecosystem. The kit was designed with grades K-2 in mind, but anyone is welcome to participate. Be sure to see your librarian if you would like to check out books and other materials about spiders to accompany the craft!

This kit was made possible through the Ohio Learns 360 Camp-in-a-Box program. Special thanks to WOUB's Learning Lab. Available through 11/30/22 or while supplies last.
